The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
This is the part that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
